Spring seems to be in full swing. Titmice and chickadees are getting the ball rolling and the woodpeckers are drumming away everywhere I go. Soon the woods will be full of song as the neotropical migrants return on their way north to their breeding grounds. Frog choruses are evident everywhere on warm days and their egg masses are easily found in any pool of water. I can't wait to see the springs' perfusion of wildflowers and the recent rains may give us a really nice show this year. Along the C&O canal there is already spring beauty is bloom.
Get out and enjoy the wild side.
